ECD term extended

Normative Instruction RFB 2.023/2021 of April 30, 2021, extended by two months the deadline for delivery of the ancillary obligation.

The deadline for delivery of the Digital Accounting Bookkeeping (ECD) for the calendar year 2020 was extended from 05/31/2021 to 07/31/2021.

Part of the Public Digital Bookkeeping System (SPED), the ECD is an accessory obligation under the responsibility of the Federal Government whose main objective is to replace the delivery of physical documents (by companies) with digital or electronic files.

The measure was necessary given the limitations for companies caused by the pandemic, which have caused delays in receiving information and processing data by companies.

If you have programmed and already guaranteed the update of your ERP, nothing changes, you have until the deadline of 07/31/2021 to send your obligation. If your system still has the obsolete version of the ECD, hurry to update and avoid fines.
